Uvalde Foundation For Kids Formed Following The Uvalde, Texas School Community Pledges Ongoing Support Following Lahaina Wildfires - Student Ambassadors To Visit King Kamehameha III Elementary Site

Over two months after devastating wildfires crippled the West Maui, HI community Of Lahaina; displacing hundreds of West Maui students; including the school community of King Kamehameha III Elementary; completely destroyed in the tragedy - The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, a national nonprofit dedicated to preventing school violence; announced in a Thursday afternoon release from its Texas Headquarters, that it is continuing to focus its fundraising efforts to aide in rebuilding the school & support the King Kamehameha III Elementary community.
In the recent release, officials noted that Student Ambassadors from the foundation are planning to visit King Kamehameha III Elementary School this week & are hoping to meet with school officials to discuss current needs and ongoing support for the school community.
National Director & Founder, Daniel Chapin who previously served as the Senior Pastor for the Aloha Church Of Honolulu & held an Oahu perimeter walk to raise support for homeless youth in Makaha, HI in 2011, noted in the release:
"There is a special place in mine and the foundation's heart for the students there in Lahaina, particularly at King Kamehameha III Elementary School. While our support as an organization in this case extends outside our primary focus on preventing school violence across this nation; as a national nonprofit dedicated, in summation, to students - If we can use our platform to aide those students in their recovery & rebuilding efforts ongoing there; than we will."
The recent release also stated that foundation officials have reached out to school and district to coordinate further details and ongoing plans.
