On April 20, 1999, a school shooting and attempted bombing occurred at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado, United States. The perpetrators, 12th grade students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered 12 students and one teacher. Ten students were killed in the school library, where Harris and Klebold subsequently committed suicide. Twenty-one additional people were injured by gunshots, and gunfire was also exchanged with the police. Another three people were injured trying to escape.

At the time, it was the deadliest mass shooting at a high school in U.S. history, until it was surpassed by the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida in February 2018. It is also the deadliest mass shooting in the state of Colorad

Where are we now, America? Sadly, Columbine was not the last. In Honor of those lives lost that tragic day in Colorado, & in rededication to the cause of ending school violence; members from the Uvalde Foundation For Kids & invited public will hold a 13 mile memorial walk. At each mile point, a marker with the name of each of the 12 students and 1 teacher who lost their lives that day will be placed.

ADDITIONALLY, Donations For The Walk Memorial Are Being Accepted! 50% Of DONATIONS Received Will Go Toward The Frank DeAngelis Columbine High School Academic Foundation & 50% Will Go Directly To The Uvalde Foundation For Kids Programming.
