Rehearsals Underway This Week In Salt Lake City

A Note From Our Foundation Performing Arts Director, Ms. Autumn Cazier

"The long-awaited reopening of the Foundation Sponsored theatrical production, "4/20/99: A Story of Columbine," is officially underway!

Actors all across the Salt Lake valley have been selected to represent the west coast full-length debut of this Grant winning show. With rehearsals taking place at a local high school two times a week, and countless hours of research ahead of them, this group of actors feel honored to represent this powerful story.

A sneak peek into the first week of rehearsals has provided nothing short of optimism in young people who are hungry in making a change within their community.

The Utah cast of "4/20/99" will be featured in a Virtual Grant Showcase provided by the Pace e Bene Non-Violence Services organization on the morning of August 3rd. "4/20/99" was one of 10 receipts around the world this year to be awarded the Changemaker Youth Grant.

We wish them luck out west and can't wait to see what is to come!

'4/20/99: A Story of Columbine' is slotted for 10 performances at the Regent Street Blackbox Theater at the Eccles in late October and early November. Tickets will go on sale September 11th via the Salt Lake County Arts website."
