Something is not right in this whole picture. We hope law enforcement will continue to pursue the case so that this precious child may be found and placed in a safe environment." (Daniel Chapin, Uvalde Foundation For Kids)
National student advocacy & violence prevention group who announced Friday afternoon, the launch of its Independent search efforts in the disappearance of a 7-month-old boy whose mother claimed was kidnapped in Yucaipa Thursday evening, noted in an updated release that due to new information it has received in the case, it is pulling its search teams as well as it's reward offer.
Foundation officials noted in an update, Saturday evening, that inconsistencies in the details related to the missing child, and the fact that the mother has stopped communicating with investigators and has not responded to the foundations requests for information, all factored into the decision. The foundation also uncovered an abuse case involving the father of the missing child, that Foundation officials noted raises additional concerns regarding the child's overall welfare.
Foundation founder, Daniel Chapin released a statement at a presser in Central Texas in regards to the decision stating, "We cannot in good conscience, utilize our team and resources when so much is missing in this case. Of particular concern to us lies within the inconsistencies in the details and the sudden decision by the mother to end communication with law enforcement and our team originally prepared to help. Tell me, what parent would do that who was missing a child? Something is not right in this whole picture. We hope law enforcement will continue to pursue the case so that this precious child may be found and placed in a safe environment."
