The Uvalde Foundation For Kids Statement On Political Campaigns & Endorsements

During This Election Time, The Uvalde Foundation For Kids Wishes To Publicly Address The Ongoing Questions In Regards To Our Foundation's Endorsements Or Lack Of Endorsements To Individual Campaigns Or Party Platforms; Particarly As They Relate To State Education Board Candidates & Further, To 501c(3) Nonprofit Organizations.

The Below IRS GUIDELINES are STRICTLY ADHERED to By Our Foundation... We Take Seriously Our Role As A Nonprofit & Encourage Individuals Researching Nonprofits, To Consider Whether Organizations Are Abiding By These Guidelines.

The Uvalde Foundation For Kids Does NOT Accept These Guidelines Simply Due To The Legalities Factor. Our Foundation Understands That, At Least In Part, These Are Set In Place To Ensure Nonprofits Focus Is Solely On Their Stated Public Mission & Purported Benefit While Maintaining An, "All Inclusive Demographic & Service Base."

"Our Mission & Focus Solely Remains The Protection & Advancement Of Our Students Across The Nation..."

_______________

"Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.

Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes."
